Set of Six Baumann Bistro Chairs, France, 1950s

Set of six French bistro chairs made by Baumann in the 1950s. The chairs are made from beechwood and feature gently curved backrests, shaped wooden seats and the bentwood supports characteristic of Baumann furniture.

The wood has a warm honey-coloured finish that highlights the natural grain. Their simple, balanced design makes them suitable as dining chairs as well as café or kitchen chairs.

All six chairs are in very good vintage condition. They are sturdy and show only minor signs of age and use.
