Antique French Oak Shop Counter Kitchen Island on Castors, c. 1880–1900

Compact antique French shop counter dating from around 1880–1900. Crafted from solid oak with a warm natural patina, it features two drawers at the front and an open storage layout at the back, making it suitable as a kitchen island, retail counter, or freestanding work table.

The rear is fitted with open compartments of various sizes, providing practical storage for bottles, baskets, kitchenware, or display items. The two drawers run smoothly but cannot be locked. The counter currently stands on swivel castors, which can be removed if preferred.

The piece is sturdy and ready for use. As expected with antique furniture, it shows normal signs of age and use that contribute to its authentic character. Historical woodworm holes may be present. Any furniture showing signs of woodworm activity has been treated as a precaution.
