Antique French Wall Cabinet, Pine Oak Hanging Cupboard, Glass Door, c. 1850–1900
This antique French wall cabinet, dating from circa 1850–1900, is made from solid pine and oak. It features a glazed door with its original iron ring pull and was likely used as a small wall cabinet in a farmhouse, workshop, pantry or kitchen.
The door is secured with an original iron locking pin mounted in the side of the cabinet. Inside is a fixed shelf, creating two storage compartments.
The cabinet retains its original finish with a naturally aged patina and signs of use acquired over time. The combination of pine, oak and hand-crafted details reflects its practical 19th-century construction.
The open top and original metal wall brackets indicate that the cabinet was intended to be wall-mounted or incorporated into a larger interior. Today it can be used as a display cabinet, kitchen cupboard, bathroom cabinet or for storing small household items.
The cabinet is in good antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks, scratches and other traces of use consistent with its age. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the description.
