French Louis Philippe Walnut Buffet with Black Marble Top, France, circa 1840–1860
A French Louis Philippe buffet dating from around 1840–1860.
The cabinet is made of walnut and burr walnut veneer and features two drawers above a pair of panelled doors. Inside is a fixed shelf providing practical storage. The top is fitted with a 25 mm thick black marble slab.
The buffet remains in good antique condition with normal age-related wear consistent with its age and use. The marble top shows light signs of use. The doors and drawers operate properly, and the key is included.
