This characterful antique shop cabinet originates from a former French haberdashery and is constructed in two separate sections. Combining generous storage with an elegant display top, it is a highly decorative yet practical piece with a strong presence.<\/p>\n
The lower section is fitted with 18 drawers in three different sizes, originally intended for storing small goods such as threads, ribbons, and sewing accessories. The upper drawers still retain their internal compartment divisions, adding to the authenticity and functionality of the piece. Most drawers are fitted with their original small ring pulls. The three lower drawers feature brass handles, which were added at a later stage, as the original ring pulls were missing.<\/p>\n
The upper section is a glazed display cabinet with two sliding doors and three interior shelves. The doors retain their original drawn glass, showing a subtle waviness that beautifully reflects the age and craftsmanship of the period. The right glass panel has a small chip in the upper left corner; this is not a crack and is barely noticeable to the naked eye.<\/p>\n
