Antique French Round Oak Drop Leaf Dining Table | Star Inlay | c. 1850–1880

An antique French oak drop leaf dining table dating from around 1850–1880.

Made from solid oak, the table has a round top with two drop leaves and stands on four turned legs. The centre of the top features a decorative star inlay, an attractive detail that adds to the table’s character.

The leaves fold down smoothly, allowing the table to take up less space when not in use while still providing a generous dining surface when fully opened.

The table is in good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. The top has several old repairs and filled splits that reflect its long history. Two of the legs show areas of wear and damage near the lower sections, as shown in the photographs. The table remains solid and stable and the drop leaves operate smoothly.
