French Garden Bench, Mid 20th Century

This French garden bench dates from the mid-20th century and features a solid iron frame combined with wooden slats.

The base is crafted from solid iron with decorative scrollwork and twisted elements. Traces of an earlier red anti-rust primer remain visible on parts of the iron structure, reflecting its age and original outdoor use.

The seat and back consist of wooden slats made from American Douglas pine. The wood retains remnants of earlier yellow paint, adding to its authentic garden character.

With its balanced proportions and gently curved back, the bench offers both comfort and timeless outdoor appeal. It works beautifully in a garden, on a terrace, in a conservatory, or as an accent piece indoors.
