Antique French Wash Table or Writing Desk in Chestnut and Poplar, c. 1900

Antique French table originally used as a washstand, dating from the early 20th century.
Made from solid chestnut wood with a poplar top, this practical and straightforward piece reflects the craftsmanship typical of rural furniture from southwest France.

The tabletop has a 6 cm slope, characteristic of traditional wash tables used in everyday household tasks. The table can now serve well as a writing desk, console, or side table.
