Antique Louis XVI Style Burr Elm Display Cabinet, Late 19th Century

Small antique display cabinet dating from the late 19th century, made in the Louis XVI style. The cabinet is constructed from mahogany and finished with burr elm veneer, showing the distinctive swirling grain and variations in colour associated with this wood.

The interior contains two glass shelves, providing space to display small objects, glassware or collectibles. Its narrow proportions and depth of just 37 cm make it suitable for a smaller room or an alcove.

The combination of mahogany, figured burr elm veneer and glass gives the cabinet a decorative appearance while keeping the contents visible.
