Antique Mahogany Drop-Leaf Dining Table, circa 1880–1900 – France
Antique French mahogany dining table dating from circa 1880–1900, with an oval top and two folding leaves. Each leaf is supported by a hinged swing-out leg, allowing the table to be used fully open or folded down for more compact storage.
The solid mahogany top is finished with two fine inlaid bands around the edge. One side contains a drawer, while the opposite side has a matching false drawer front.
Fully extended, the table seats up to six people. With both leaves lowered, its depth reduces to 52 cm, making it suitable for a smaller dining room or for use as a console table.
