Antique Double-Sided French Shop Sign “RAS-ALLARD” in Iron Frame, Nice, Late 19th Century

An antique double-sided French shop sign dating from the late 19th century. Believed to have originated from a storefront in Nice, this decorative sign features the name “RAS-ALLARD” on both sides.

The sign is made of painted iron and mounted within a decorative iron frame with hand-formed scrollwork. It was originally designed to hang perpendicular to a building façade, allowing the name to be visible from both directions. The original painted surface shows extensive wear, oxidation and a naturally aged patina that reflect decades of outdoor use.

Today it makes an authentic decorative piece for both traditional and industrial interiors, as well as cafés, restaurants, shops or collections of antique advertising and architectural elements.

The sign is solid, structurally sound and ready for display.
