Vintage French Art Deco Kitchen Cabinet with Bakelite Handles, 1930s–1940s

Vintage French kitchen cabinet dating from the 1930s–1940s, designed in a functional Art Deco style.

The cabinet is made from beechwood with plywood panels and retains its caramel-coloured painted finish. The rounded edges, simple geometric construction and Bakelite handles are characteristic of French domestic furniture from this period.

The upper section features a large door with two metal mesh panels and an internal shelf. Below is a single drawer, followed by two solid doors with an additional shelf inside.

The cabinet is in good vintage condition with signs of age and use, including marks, scratches and small losses to the painted finish. The original patina has been preserved.

Its compact and narrow proportions make it suitable as a kitchen or pantry cabinet, bathroom cabinet or general storage cupboard.
