Antique French Blue Painted Pine Chest / Coffee Table, circa 1900

Antique French pine chest dating from around 1900, retaining its original worn blue painted finish.

The chest has a hinged wooden lid reinforced with iron straps, two iron catches at the front and carrying handles on both sides. The blue paint shows natural wear, with areas of exposed wood adding to its aged appearance.

The lid opens to reveal a single storage compartment, painted blue-grey on the inside. Two metal stays support the lid when open.

Measuring 70 cm wide and 43 cm high, the chest can be used as a small coffee table, storage trunk or blanket chest.
