Set of 4 Antique French Stella Bistro Chairs, circa 1900–1920

A set of four antique French bistro chairs by Stella, manufactured in Labruguière in the Tarn region of France.

Two of the chairs still retain their original “Sièges Stella – Labruguière (Tarn)” paper labels underneath the seats, identifying the maker and origin of the set.

Made of beech wood with a dark brown finish, the chairs have a simple and functional design characteristic of French café and bistro furniture from the early 20th century. The backs feature three vertical slats, slightly curved uprights and a broad curved top rail. The wooden seats have a subtly ribbed surface.

The chairs show age-related wear to the dark finish, with areas where the lighter wood underneath has become visible, resulting in a varied patina across the set.

The chairs are in very good antique condition and are sold as a set of four. Suitable for use around a dining or kitchen table, as well as in a café or restaurant interior.
