Vintage French Glass Display Cabinet / Shop Showcase
This vintage French display cabinet was originally used in a shop or commercial setting. The cabinet has a cream-painted wooden frame (mahogany/hardwood), glazed doors and sides, and a deep red fabric-lined back panel.
The two glass doors are fitted with a lock and a two-point locking mechanism. Inside, three adjustable glass shelves allow the display space to be arranged according to the size of the objects.
The cabinet stands on four tapered, fluted legs and features simple decorative mouldings along the top and base. The cream-painted finish has developed a slightly aged appearance, with subtle variations in colour and traces of previous use.
The red fabric lining provides a contrasting background for displaying glassware, ceramics, collectibles or decorative objects. With its relatively shallow depth of 34 cm, the cabinet is also suitable for smaller spaces.
Originally intended for commercial display, it can be used in a living room, dining room, boutique or showroom.
