French Art Deco Oak Chest of Drawers – 1920s/1930s

French Art Deco chest of drawers dating from the 1920s–1930s.

The chest is predominantly made from oak and has three large drawers. The drawer fronts are decorated with geometric incised lines and fitted with metal handles.

The cabinet has panelled sides, a wide top and a shaped wooden base. The drawers are deep and provide plenty of storage. Their interiors are made from a lighter secondary wood and have dovetail joints.

The oak has a warm colour with a clearly visible grain. There are normal signs of age and use, including small marks, scratches and variations in the surface.

The chest is solid and stable, and all three drawers open and close properly.
