Vintage French Beech Display Cabinet, Glass Door Bookcase, Art Deco Cabinet, c. 1930–1950
This French display cabinet dates from the period between 1930 and 1950. It is made of beech and fitted with two glazed doors featuring textured glass and carved floral decoration.
The cabinet has three fixed shelves, providing space for books, ceramics, glassware or decorative objects. The textured glass partially conceals the contents while allowing light to pass through.
The design reflects the restrained lines of the Art Deco period, combined with decorative carved details typical of French furniture from the first half of the 20th century.
The cabinet is constructed from beech with a softwood interior and back panels, as was common for furniture of this period. It weighs approximately 20 kg, making it relatively light for its size.
The cabinet is in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use, including minor surface marks and scratches consistent with its age. The structure is solid and stable, and the doors open and close properly.
