Vintage French Oak Roll-Front Filing Cabinet, circa 1960–1970

French roll-front filing cabinet dating from circa 1960–1970.

The cabinet has an oak frame with wooden side panels and a veneered top. At the front is a roll-up wooden slatted door, which runs smoothly and can be locked.

Inside are several removable sliding trays. These rest in grooves along the sides and can be placed at different heights or removed when more space is needed.

The cabinet was originally made for office and document storage. Its narrow proportions make it practical where storage space is limited.

There are scratches, marks and other signs of age and use throughout, as shown in the photographs. The cabinet is in good vintage condition, the roll-front mechanism works well and the door locks correctly.
